New Contributors: 15-21, 71.4%
Kennedy Chandler: 6-7, 85.7%
Justin Powell: 6-9, 66.7%
Olivier Nkamhoua: 3-5, 60.0%

Veterans: 11-36, 30.5%
Josiah Jordan James: 1-9, 11.1%
Santiago Vescovi: 7-18, 38.9%
Victor Bailey: 3-9, 33.3%

I threw Olivier in the new contributors category because he hasn't contributed much or developed his 3pt shot until this year. Last year's team was a bad 3 point shooting team and a lot of that had to do with the returning guards: JJJ, Vescovi, and Bailey. So far, it doesn't look like the veterans are going to improve from 3pt range. They are a combined 11-36, 30.5% from 3. Not great. The "new contributors" are making 3s at more than double that rate shooting 15-21 for 71.4%. Obviously, this is early and I expect the averages will approach each other as the season goes on, but I expect this trend to continue. The vets have established themselves as mediocre to average 3pt shooters and I think the new contributors are likely good to very good from 3pt range (except maybe Olivier, too early to tell with him). So far the vets have shot almost 2 times as many 3s (36 vs 21) as the new contributors. IMO to be successful, Barnes needs to figure out how to create more shots for the new contributors and reign in the shot attempts from vets.
