I spent a long weekend in Asheville and made plans to eat here one night.
That was some of the Best food I have Ever eaten in my life - and presented beautifully. (I actually took a picture of my plate). We tried to make it back into town in time to eat there on Sat night also, but were up in the mountains. I had the (huge) pan seared scallops with shrimp and grits. My friend had the flatiron steak.
Met Sam -thevol - owner and talked football.
Nice guy. Sent us a big appetizer on the house.
If you are ever even near here - go eat at Ambrozia.
It's a neat bistro type restaurant with in/out seating . I would suggest a reservation or call ahead, especially on weekends.
It's on Merrimont, an extension of Broadway in downtown - north a mile or so on the left.
Going east toward downtown, there is a Merrimont St exit (5A). Then turn left onto Merrimont.
Just past Fresh Market on the left.
