My unit stopped cooling at some point Saturday. The fan on top was going but no air was coming in through the vents. Guy came out and said it was the internal fan, the unit is 6 years old and I wasn’t the homeowner when it was installed so no warranty.
I tried it Sunday and nothing, but yesterday when I got home from work I turned it on just to see and it’s worked fine since. Does this sound right? Seems like it would’ve worked sooner if something was just frozen up, but it seems like if a fan was bad it wouldn’t just work off and on. Should I go ahead and let him replace it ?
