Was mowing the grass and see the tree from the other side of our back neighbors fence has broken through and is hovering at an angle over ours. The kicker is there are huge chunks of cut wood on their side, and the ground has weakened (likely causing the fall). The trunk was completely on their side, with lots of evidence of cutting. Any thoughts to the first step? Go talk to neighbors behind us (never met them, it’s a completely different sub division), call homeowners insurance (will they assign “responsibility”?), tree company (due to the potential danger)?
