Junior right-handed pitcher Landon Smiddy gets the not for the Bucs. This will be his first start of the season but in two appearances, he's tossed 4.2 innings, giving up two runs on two hits with three strikeouts and a walk. He's 0-1 on the young season.
Tennessee will counter with southpaw Zander Sechrist. The junior is making his second start of the season, third appearance overall. He's yet to surrender a hit on the season and has given up no runs, walking just one with seven strikeouts through four crisp innings. Sechrist owns a 1-0 record on the year.
