Saw this talked about on the board when it was more of a rumor. It is now confirmed.
Huge loss for them as he was going to be the guy. He is an incredible talent.
Also found out they took a grad transfer WR from UCLA, Theo Howard, who tore his achilles in January. Doubt he is ready for our game at the start of September. Put up 700 yards in 2018 with UCLA in that disaster of a season where they were terrible.
They lose CeeDee Lamb, Lee Morris and Nick Basquine. 1st, 3rd and 4th leading WRs by yards and catches. Haselwood and presumably Howard are out with injury.
Another factor to keep an eye on is they had 4 players suspended before the playoff for drugs. One being Trejan Bridges who was a 5 Star signed with Haselwood. They are trying to appeal that but as of right now he will be suspended the first 4 games of the season.
They will still have some horses at WR though:
Charleston Rambo was their #2 last year and he put up 750 yards and averaged 17.5 YPC.
Theo Wease- the 3rd 5 Star WR signed with Haselwood and Bridges
Lincoln Riley is considered a master at scheming WR open but not having Haselwood, Bridges and Howard combined with losing the 3 listed above is a big deal. He is also bringing in a new QB.
I highly doubt they are able to run the ball down our throats. QB Rattler is not the power runner Hurts is. If we can continue them through the air we may be in good shape.
