Taking a step back, this game has a whole lot things in common with the 2013 game in Gainesville. Both defenses being strong, road team first time away from home, back up QB making first start/appearance, etc.
Looking back, the Peterman series were a complete disaster. We don't know much about Appleby, but he at least has some experience.
