Since it was again brought up in the War Room, I wanted to see what others input is on this subject. It seems like Byrd is going to start out at the WR position this year when he gets to campus. I think that with our low number of WRs this is a good move for his freshman season. Additionally, I love his speed and burst to create separation and possibly be that receiver that turns a 5 yard pass into a 15 yard pass regularly. We just don't have many receivers that can create separation like he has shown he could do in high school. However, I wonder if the staff will switch him to corner next year depending on who we pull in this years recruiting class. I think he can be a very elite corner with his skill set as well and would help keep our secondary formidable for sometime. So if they were to switch him after his first year do you think they would keep certain packages and plays for him to run as a WR? Especially because it seems like he will spend his first year at that position. Also just thinking about him on punt/kick blocks and returns is just scary. Could he be an Adoree Jackson type player for us?
