Know this will not be a popular opinion but consider that The QB sneak is not a gimme …. Ask JG and Bama … but the sneak in this situation with a 2nd string QB taking the exchange under center from our regular left guard now facing 2 defenders one on each shoulder was infinitely more risky than staying in a standard familiar formation - credit Coach Heupel for the set up of the play - recall our first TD was the same play which scored but the RB - but not the execution - the play is designed to attack where the were not because pivots off what their edge rushers defenders play … Saturday Pitts edge followed the TEs who pulled inside and the QB missed the read … it would have been a TD much less a first down if HH keeps it … and our coaches KNOW THAT - but even if you cannot credit the play call or formation …. credit the character of the Head Coach for not throwing his QB under the bus - He has a long view and confidence that he can correct mistakes with patient persistence- That why I like more and more this coaching staff.
