How many times have we seen this scenario? You know the coach isn't going to win here but you let him hang out for another year to save money for the buyout. In the meantime our program is imploding. Recruiting is about to go downhill, players are going to leave, the coach is a lame duck, people will stop buying merchandise, and will stop going to games. I would be willing to bet the University actually saves money by firing Butch today and unloading the brinks truck on a proven winner. We have a good foundation of players right now to win next year with a good coach. This is not a rebuilding job at this point, but it could be with another year or two of Butch. Thoughts?
