Grant picked up his first foul with ~12-14 to go in the first half (don't quote me on that, but it wasn't extremely early), and Barnes immediately took him out for a decent stretch IIRC. I remember thinking that Barnes must think it's much more important to have Williams in the game late instead of early - Alexander and Schofield can stem the tide for a while but you need Williams in the game when it gets tight.
