Didn't Middleton sign with Arizona St out of HS?

Perhaps he didn't qualify and had to go the JC route but I thought both he and Tee Higgins both graduated at the same time. I remember the Oak Ridge game against DB as I was very underwhelmed by the use of Middleton in the game while being very impressed by the play and use of Tee in the game. He said he was not mature so perhaps JC has helped him a lot.
