Seems there is a snowballing inefficiency if these recruiting outlets hire "analysts" to go hand out stars without any sort of certification to show they're qualified to do so.
Schools are spending billions of dollars on recruiting and are using these outlets to say they had a "top 10" recruiting class or "the #1 class per X" which is solely based on the opinions of who? If the recruiting world on the coach/player side was completely disconnected and not so intertwined like it's becoming with these sites it would simply be another opinion of a media outlet, but in my opinion this is a very slippery slope.
I may be wrong, just a thought.
