Playing for NE. It is all about money. Dustin Colquitt is NOT being released because he cannot play and play well. He is STRICTLY being released because of the salary cap. No doubt that Dustin might find another team he could play for if the can afford him otherwise in order to keep playing he will have to take a pay cut. Mind you that he would still be making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year so don't cry too much for him.
Tom Brady's wife was by far the richest wife in the NFL not because of Tom but because she made more money than any other player in the NFL and obviously any other spouse.
New England would save MILLIONS in salary cap every year because Tom wanted to win and was willing and could afford to be paid less. Those millions were used to pay for much higher quality players around Tom both on the offense and defense.
