I'll try to keep this relatively brief, but I wanted to know everyone's top Neyland experiences. I've been going to games since 1977 off and on, but I live in Philly and with schedules and whatnot Saturday was the first UT game my son has ever seen live.
We drove straight through the night and reported directly to the Linc to watch the Eagles kick the Steelers ass, so it was an unreal double dip.
But I was telling my son that I've probably been to 90 games at Neyland +/- 5 since 1977. And Saturday's was my favorite ever. Honestly, that first 20 minutes of the second half was absolutely surreal, glaring into the setting sun as the Vols literally flogged the Gators into submission to erase a miserable first half and 11 years of futility against the Gators.
In any case, I tried to think of my other faves:
1. 2016 Florida - JD and Barnett quash the streak in the heat
2. 1995 Alabama - Manning to Kent sparks a wire-to-wire rout
3. 1998 Florida - Big Al takes down No. 2 Fla
4. 1989 Auburn - Rain game - Cobb crosses his arms
5. 1982 Alabama - Punt return sparks furious comeback with half of Neyland in pkg lot
