My 7 year old boy is playing soccer, this is the first year he’s played a sport. I’ve heard and read stories about parents and youth sports and how they act. There was a lady on the other team we played this morning that was screaming at her son. I mean.. I was embarrassed and I felt bad for her son. We only had 5 players and the other team had 10+. They asked us if we wanted to shorten the game to 8 min quarters to “help us out”. We won 10-2. The mom on the other team told her son…”if you let them score again, you’re running laps after the game”. I was quietly begging for her to get hit in the face with the ball.
