Here are the similarities between the Ga Tech and Air Force games...

1. Both teams ran triple option
2. Both teams ran the ball very well versus TN
3. Both teams scored a TD late in the game to bring the game to a 1-point margin
4. Both teams decided to go for two to end the game instead of kicking the extra-point for a tie
5. Both teams' 2-point conversion attempt went to the offense's right (Tennessee's left)
6. Both times, TN's left defensive end made the game saving play (In 2006, it was Xavier Mitchell. In 2017, it was Darrell Taylor).
7. In both games, TN wins by 1-point (31-30 vs. Air Force and 42-41 vs. Ga Tech).
