I really liked him as a coach and it seemed like just about everyone liked him personally. I'm sure some will think of him less than fondly and I get that.
My take is he worked his ass off for UT in a tough situation (made tougher by what he did at S Miss). I just think of him as unlucky that he had a former assistant turn on him. I'm sure some don't think everyone does it but they do to some extent. He just got caught.
So good luck to Donnie moving forward. Hopefully he's able to get a job somewhere in a couple years and get back into coaching. Will be very tough for him but he's a hell of a coach. Horrible day for UT basketball but even worse for DT. Good luck.
