Veteran Unemployment Rate 3.8% in March
In March 2020, the veteran unemployment rate was 3.8%, up from 3.5% last month. The comparable non-veteran unemployment rate was 4.3% in March. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, it is important to keep in mind that the March survey reference periods for the establishment and household surveys (the pay period or week, respectively, that includes the 12th of the month) predated many business and school closures that occurred in the second half of the month.
That is pretty low considering all of the jobs being placed on hold. April stats will be much higher though.
