One of my favorite things about Kobe is that multiple players tried to make a name for themselves by claiming to be "Kobe Stoppers".
They gave themselves that title. I don't recall other all-time greats generating "stoppers". There is no such thing as a "Lebron Stopper" or "Curry Stopper" or "Barkley Stopper" or "Durant Stopper" etc etc. All of these self-styled "stoppers" tried to make a name for themselves. All of them were very good defenders, of course. Sometimes, Kobe humiliated them (esp Doug Christie).
