Historical UT success tied to QB play

It seems to me; perhaps a blind glimpse of the obvious, that our better UT teams and coaches are indelibly aligned with competent QB play. Since Dobbs, our current play has been spotty at best and witnessed the dismissal of a coaching staff and a slow rebuild under our current coach. Last year‘s revolving QBs left us with a fine winning streak against the weak half of our schedule. I hope that there is a better alternative on the bench than our current starter. However, I fear we will not get to the top of the hill until our QB can play to the level of the better programs in our league. With better play from the signal caller all units of our team will improve. Pruitt’s fate will ultimately be determined by the quality of his signal callers. Can any of the guys on the bench play better than our current QB?
