Last night Lipscomb hosted BGA in the final game of the regular season. BGA was short their #1 RB, who is their best playmaker. So, they were pretty much outmanned in this game. Final was 55-7. A lot of people rave about the LA offense (and they are good), but the defense has been spectacular all season long. Here are a few stats from the game:
Luther Richeeson was 15 of 18 for 250 yards and 5 TDs in one half of play
Alex Broome had 38 yards rushing on 8 carries (he had 1009 rushing yards and ~ 700 yards receiving) with 1 TD and 5 receptions for 91 yards and 2TDs. Just played 1 half.
Coleman Baker is now back to 100% at WR and he had 3 receptions for 98 yards and 2 TDs.
UT target Nate Spillman was sick and didn't play much as his practice time was limited.
UT target Edwin Spillman was active tonight......he had 4 tackles in a half, but also created a lot of chaos.
UT target Kaleb Beasley had a nice game.
Lipscomb will be the #1 seed for Middle TN Region in DII-AA, so they'll have a bye this next week.
