Just some incredible matchups, and that's coming off of a record 18 overtimes in the first round.
Preds v. Blues for first time ever. Preds newly revamped speed just swept the Blackhawks. Blues riding a big, old-school defense run by an old-school coach that traded their "best" defender to the Caps. They are relatively untalented past their Top 6 but they are dominate on the power play. Should be a great series but I think the Preds get swept. Feels like a couple bounces could determine this one.
Pens v. Caps fo the 900th time. Just kidding... but this rivalry never gets old and what the Pens' did to the Blue Jackets without Letang or Murray was impressive.
Anaheim v. Oilers. McDavid vs. a team that is 15-0-3 in their last 18. Most people don't know how good Anaheim is, but the Oilers are really REALLY fun to watch.
Rangers v. Senators. Probably the least intriguing for anyone outside the NYC market, but may end up being a surprisingly good series. The obvious follow here is The King and can he get a chance to get to the Conference Finals against The Pens or Caps. Anything can happen with Lundqvist in net. Senators have been playing some good hockey leading up to the playoffs and are a sneaky team.
