Typically...BUT with it being game one of the season and everyone ready I think it is the right game to do it for. Lots of extra hungry people for football likely to tune in with the season kicking off that we would not get if we played this Sat vs. Ap St. Nice statement/declaration moment opportunity with everyone watching.
Again, prefer not to play on Thursday nights typically. Like Saturday tradition, but every now and then it works. Still remember when we played Cal on Monday night in Berkley (was at the game) & USA Today had a full page spread featuring the game with all the national focus. SEC channel is not the best platform, but Thursday night will be a great launching into the 2016 college football season if we seize the opportunity.
