would make for a more exciting game to watch and refs would have less impact on the game. Call fouls when body contact significantly impacts the other player. Allow players to be more physical and call fouls when the contact clearly becomes excessive. There are at least 8 ticky tack fouls per game where the offensive player is merely bumped slightly, and so many blocking fouls especially where the shot is already off and there's just no way for players not to collide...so just let the game keep going. One result is that fewer players would be in foul trouble, and therefore refs' whimsy would have less impact on the outcome, which is always good.
