A school can control fans storming the field for the most part. How do they expect a school to prevent a fan from throwing an empty water bottle, an empty beer can, or a mustard bottle? The only way to keep it from happening is to stop selling concessions of any kind and stop allowing anything to be brought into the game except the clothes on your back.
These acts weren’t life threatening as they’re making them out to be. Who has ever died from being hit with a bottle of mustard or a bag of potato chips? If our fans were throwing knives, sticks of dynamite, or using blow guns, I could see it.
The biggest hassle was having to clean up the mess. Leave us alone, and move on.
