...I noticed this while looking through some past War Rooms this morning. Notice how many of the Junior Day visitors that weekend are now expected to be important contributors to this year's team. There's also one player that signed and is now looking to transfer and another that committed but apparently told to look around later in the process
.I also found in interesting that at this time two years ago Jalen Hurd was thought to be favoring Ohio State.
This War Room just reminds me the outstanding recruiting job Butch and staff have accomplished at UT.

After having last weekend off, the football coaches and support staff are back to work this weekend with an important junior day. Of course, this staff reached out to nearly 80 juniors on national signing day and also watched an insane amount of film on 2014 kids that day as a staff, seeing film of nearly 100 players on that day alone.
Tennessee is expected to host a very impressive list of juniors Saturday and here's who we have as of Thursday night scheduled to make it in. There will likely be more than those listed here and some will inevitably not make it in as always.

Tennessee seems to be in good shape with Paulk and there are some who believe he may commit this weekend as his father is expected in town with him. He will be one to watch, although nothing is finished and right now that's just speculation.
It's also big to get Tennessee's top prospect on campus in Hurd. The No. 14 prospect in the nation in the initial 2014 rankings is actually supposed to get in on Saturday and stay until sometime Sunday afternoon. The jumbo running back is certainly a huge target at a need position and the Vols are playing catch up right now to Ohio State and Florida, but Tennessee seems have new life in the chase since Jones has become head coach.
The Buckeyes have been dogged in their pursuit of Hurd going all the way back to last fall andUrban Meyer has made it a priority to land Hurd early on. He's visited Columbus last fall for a game and is expected to return in the summer if not the spring as well.
Another note is the number of talented players the Vols are hosting from Georgia the same weekend the Bulldogs are hosting a junior day. The calling of 2014 prospects since Jones and his staff got to Knoxville is certainly paying off early.
On 2015 prospect Josh Smith, don't be surprised if he isn't a top-five player in the state when those rankings finally are released as long as he continues to develop at the current pace. The brother of recently offered safety Emmanuel Smith, Smith may himself pick up a Tennessee offer this weekend as he's expected to be with the Midstate contingent including Rashaan Gaulden, Josh Malone and Smith's older brother, as well as the expected presence of commitment Vic Wharton.
