I think that is the key for our championship hopes for Team 120. Dobbs at full health with his legs makes our running attack potent, and it will be even better next year unless Richmond for some reason fails to pan out on a Blair level.
For Josh to maintain solid health throughout the season, however, we have to have more of a threat passing the ball down field. I do think that Dobbs can make some moderate improvement passing the ball between now and the 2016 season, particularly as his engineering course load dwindles down (depending on his graduate courses). I do think the level of improvement he can make at this stage of his development is limited, however. After almost 3 seasons, he pretty much is what he is.
So, one of two things needs to happen, imo. Either Dobbs needs to make enough improvement himself that his passing threat can keep him from getting banged up......OR we need to work Dormady into some games for a few series, even in the first half of some games. Yes, Dormady is absolutely not in Dobbs' ballpark mobility-wise, but our OL should be improved enough by next year to protect him. Can such an arrangement work? I think that is likely key to our championship hopes.....right up there with Richmond developing enought at LT and a 2nd safety emerging. I have confidence in basically every other spot on the roster for 2016.
