this is not political so don't lock it... its simple Saban hate speech (fully permissible on here) Saw this article come across my wire this morning.
Is Nick Saban Serious? He Says He Didn’t Know An Election Was Going On.
By Cindy Boren
Nov. 10 (Washington Post) -- There was a national election Tuesday, you might have heard. Nick Saban hadn't.
At least, that's what the Alabama coach wants you to believe.
"To be honest with you, I didn't even know yesterday was Election Day. It was so important to me that I didn't even know it was happening," he told reporters Wednesday, according to The Post's Rick Maese. "We're focused on other things here."
Mmmm-hmmmm. Football coaches like to think they have to live in a gigantic isolation booth if they're to be successful, but Saban was partly diplomatic and partly self-deprecating in describing the reasons he is tuned out.
"I don't really make political comments. So if I say I like one person that means that everybody that voted for the other person doesn't like me. Why would I do that? I want what's best for our country," said the coach of the nation's No. 1 team. "I'm not sure I can figure that out."
Apart from all the pressure to win and stuff, living in a world without one of the most divisive and vitriolic campaigns in history sounds as it if might be lovely.
"I want what's best for people who want to improve the quality of their life, and I hope whoever our leader is will certainly to do all he can do to make our country safe and improve the quality of life for a lot of the people that we have in our country," he added. "I don't think I'm qualified to determine who that should be."
