I was enjoying some libations with 4 football players (1 LB, 2 OL, 1 scout teamer) and when I brought up Jalen Hurd, I got a reaction that I was kind of surprised by...
One of the OL said in a "cheerleader's" tone of voice, "Oooooohhhh Jaaaaalennnn. Lyke, Omgggggg"
At the same time, the other OL made an obscene two-handed gesture (pumping two open fists by his mouth with his tounge out - if you catch my drift.)
The LB - who apparently had been close with Jalen - just kind of shook his head and seemed to have held his tongue.
This was before the 2015 season. It all came back full-circle today. I sort of understand where those comments came from now. There definitely was some "hidden" animosity in that commentary.
@RussVFL was with me that night, I don't know if he remembers it though.
