This isn't a quote or statements from Carville SINCE the firing just some interesting observations over the last few seasons...
Carville comes on the Tony Korheiser show weekly through the football season and picks games. As an LSU grad, he is often asked by Kornheiser why the fan base is so sour on Miles after all the success he's had. While not coming out and calling for Les's job, you could tell from his inference that Carville has thought for some time that a change was needed. He has cited on multiple occasions that LSU has the highest paid staff in the country and that while they don't expect to beat Bama every year, they should beat them at least once every two to four years. But the biggest criticism is in the fact that they haven't utilized their talent (i.e. Odell Beckham, Jeremy Hill, Jarvis Landry, etc.) plus the fact that (according to Carville) the New Orleans area has more players on NFL rosters than any other area in the Country.
