Just go with me here...
If the NCAA and conference commissioners deem this fall a no go for football BUT if treatments and a vaccine is making very real tangible progress (for sake of discussion let’s say with no hiccups and everything is safe with it and it could be mass produced enough) would there be real discussions on having a college football season in the spring? Maybe even just conference games?
Or at that point would it just be a wash and try again next year?
I think the NFL would absolutely move their season considering every major sport is currently doing just that. NFL TV money is mind blowing so they would move heaven and earth to play at any time of year even on a modified schedule.
MLB drastically changing draft and NBA moving their draft tells me that the NFL would accommodate as well to make it work to move the football draft to the summer. Obviously there would be college players who skip their season like we see with bowl stuff.
Interested your thoughts in this scenario @Jesse_Simonton
