Sure K State's AD Dept is doing better monetarily, but the ONE hire he has made was Bruce Weber (after he was fired from Illinois). He let Frank Martin go to a lateral/below average job at a similar university, and he is experiencing much more success than Weber. He is considered the definition of a Mike Hamilton clone (which we all can agree is disastrous). Was part of the committees that brought Kiffin and Raleigh here. Not to mention my couple friends that work/worked in the AD dept said it was basically a party the day he left for K State. And frankly, he's not a Tennessee guy. He got his masters here, and worked for 10 some odd years here. And during those 10 years our football and baseball teams fell off the map, and our hoops coach (who he helped bring here) got into major trouble with the NCAA.
I don't claim to be the smartest guy, but this one leaves me scratching my head. Not to mention the entire state of Tennessee wanted Fulmer or Blackburn. Both of whom bleed orange, and would have done all they could for the university
