Forgive me if this has already been discussed(which I’m sure it has been). I have not been the board for a few days.
So i just saw this tweet. It was of an old woman knitting a noose in reference to being quarantined with her husband. It was insinuating that the wife would want to either hang herself or her husband due to being forced to be around each other so much. Why is that offensive? It has absolutely nothing to do with anything racial. People were getting hung thousands of years before it happened in the Deep South. So any reference to a noose under any context is racist? Genuinely asking... why is this racist?
