The University of Tennessee’s Knoxville campus sold more than $3.6 million worth of alcohol at sporting events during the school year, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported. Football fans consumed the most booze, with nearly one drink being sold to every three fans. The drinking rate was second-highest at baseball games, at about one adult beverage per 3.6 fans. The ratio was one in 7.3 at men’s basketball games and one per 38 at Lady Vols contests. ---TN Journal 06-24-22
