Not that many of you will care and most will probably disagree but thought I would share my feelings after a nights sleep and a half day reflection.
1.) We have finally hired a good staff that can coach and put our players in position to win games. They are not always going to do the right thing but they are miles ahead of any other coaches we have hired since Fulmer. This defensive staff especially has impressed me. They have done more with less then I could ever hope for. Yes the QB runs were killing us but he is a hell of an athlete and we have all seen what those type players can do for your program. I honestly feel that if they can recruit some real talent here they will get the best out of that player.
2.) I really enjoy how this team has come together and are playing so hard for each other. We have all seen more talented teams fall apart and quite when things get tough but so far this year they have fought their asses off and never quite. I just hope they can continue to put that effort in each week. It will pay off somewhere.
3.) I wasn’t there but the scene of the atmosphere in Knoxville was incredible and I could feel it in my living room hundreds of miles away. All day I saw social media post from friends and fans what is was like and it was such a joy to see that again. Last night was what we all have missed so much and long to have back again ever home game. It can and will be again but probably not a quick as we would all like. However the few fans who acted like trash at the end did take away from the night some. I was embarrassed watching it and hated that was what everyone would remember who is not a Tennessee fan. It was ugly to see but I’m not surprised it happened. The officiating was abysmal last night and until the SEC and all of college football for that matter gets that under control scenes like that last night will happen. We have seen it in other sports and at other places and even in the pro levels so we all know it can and will happen. I just hate that it put an asterisk on the night, and the passion we as Tennessee fans have for our school and how Neyland was last night.

I still love this team, this program, and my university. Go Vols!
