On one hand I don't care for his snarky writing style.... He appears to be following a milder version of the Clay Travis path; on the other hand I can't argue w his observations. He's the "new guy/outsider" w no ax to grind who simply calls it like he sees it.
I believe he is uniquely positioned (in a way Brent can't be) to help shed more light on this past evenings chat and the Revelation that the people in charge aren't really the problem for Coach Jones... the Fans are the problem.
Specifically the fans turning on Coach Jones.
That was a real eye opener for me personally BC I've always assumed that people at Tennessee wanted to Win. I always believed that despite the multiple past articles/interviews/"rumors". I believed that we just had bad luck, bad leadership, bad coaching.... but my eyes are truly being opened now.
Sometimes the breaks go against you in life and football. It happens. But we Get up; dust ourself off; and keep trying........ it seems we've had 15yrs of the breaks going against us.
And finally- after 15yrs!- I'm starting to realize some of those bad breaks aren't just Bad Luck.... they are the results of decisions. They are the logical conclusions. They are inevitable.
So w his outsider status and willingness to write truth, could Jesse play a larger roll in shedding more light on this Revelation. He seems just the man for the job. And I for one hope he does.
Someone HAS to spell out Tennessee's problems. Research them, document them, and write them ..... and then armed w full facts I as a fan can then decide if Tennessee is worth my heart anymore.
I'd start by interviewing Fulmer anonymously.
