As some has stated nothing was done about fake injuries. Teams started to do what Ole Miss did down the stretch. Ole Miss stopped our tempo at times and what would have been first downs or TDs ended in a punt or field goal by falling on the ground. It’s actually smart by other teams and isn’t illegal to do. Still no rule against it.
I noticed through the back half of our schedule players started getting cramps and falling down all the time after a big play. That’s because tempo works the best after a big bomb or huge run. If all our opponents start doing this it’s a pretty big equalizer to our offense. We will have to just play better when playing slow at times and use fast tempo more strategically. We didn’t see all the playbook but also think our coaches adjust. They saw what happened last year and know it’s coming. I’m sure they’ll find a way to combat it.
