obviously we don't know the behind the scenes issues, but Im guessing that Kyrie let KD know that he does not want to be in Brooklyn long term.

Nets let KD know that they don't intend to keep Kyrie past the trade deadline.
That means that both KD and Kyrie will be on new teams next season. As a Laker fan, I would gladly welcome either...although highly unlikely they will get either.
Kyrie can dictate where he goes, for the most part.
KD cannot, but most likely Nets will play along. Would not be surprised if he is traded back to Golden State in exchange for some of their young talent (Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody).
