Here’s the thing. Our NIL is complete crap compared to other schools. For whatever reason our big money donors have had enough and aren’t willing to throw money out there. However who can blame them? The product we’ve put on the field is crap.
You have the Miami’s of the world paying a crazy amount of money for Cristobal when they’re broke. They even have an NIL deal for everyone on the team. What Sprye said on the podcast is true to an extend there’s opportunity here.
If Hooker, Tillman, Mays, etc. all come back and have an Ole Miss type season then you’ll see things dramatically change.
To that point, there’s no way Ole Miss running back is making $600K. Some of the numbers thrown out there is so laughable. What’s going to be interesting is that what’s going to happen when some of these schools get caught with their pants down and kids start finding out what they’re being told isn’t the truth? I could meet with these kids and throw out crazy numbers. Fact is unless you’re a QB, RB, WR, you’re most likely not getting a huge NIL deal.
