I can't imagine the staff is expecting to sign 25-27 kids this year and renew scholarships for the PWO's that were awarded scholarships this year - Once we have a few more defections they can always award those spots to the most deserving PWOs that year.

**I read that Joe Doyle is not on scholarship
That is a total of 63 scholarship players on the roster being carried into next year.
I believe the staff will bring in 27 new players for next year which will be a group of freshman and possibly 1-2 grad transfers that might become available.
We have 22 open scholarships right now assuming Trey is gone - That equates to 5 current players, not the ones already in the portal, being added to the portal between now and the end of spring next year.
We will most likely have 1 QB leave, 1 RB leave, 2 DB's leave, and it least 1 from the TE/DL/LB position groups leave to get us to the 85 total.
Looking forward to next year we will have 23 seniors on the roster with significant numbers losses in the Running back and Defensive Lineman groups - We are making up for the Running Back Losses in this years class but falling 1-2 short on the Defensive Line recruiting. This will most likely lead us to bringing in 2 JUCO DLineman/Grad Transfers next year on the Defensive Line
If we end up with 7-10 of the current roster leaving that is where I see the Preferred Walk-Ons being involved and awarded scholarships for next year.
Fun to look at the numbers and you can see how the staff will be able to bring in 25-27 new players this year and get us to the 85 total scholarship players.
