We have three groups of players…..
1. Older guys, past prime, collecting another payday. Garcia, Poulter, Mickelson, Westwood, McDowell.
2. Young guns, brash, self-centered, little respect for traditions of game. Koepka, DeChambeau, DJ.
3. Unproven guys.
Again, it’s a free country and theses guys have a right to play where the want. However, there are consequences to them and to the communities that host PGA Tour events. These guys are grabbing a payday with little regard for the broader impact.
Tough for the game I dearly love. The best question at US Open was, “How does this grow the game?”
