I am really struggling with a decision I have to make. I have a 18 month old miniature schnauzer and he is having neurological/seizure issues. It is horrible to watch and I have seen a lot as I was a paramedic for 8 years. They are sending him to neurologist and when I hear that word I think $$$. So at what amount do you say I just can't do anymore and make to the tough decision to have him euthanized rather than to suffer. I realize it is just a dog but they do become a big part of the family mainly my 8 year old daughter who he sleeps with every night. MRI is $2,000. No way I can justify that. Without an MRI they will just be guessing. Thoughts?
