So, my son is about to head off to college to play baseball and get educated. I'm trying to convince him that he needs to balance his checkbook every month, like I have always done. But, of course, now we all have online banking, so you can verify the amount in your account and see if any inappropriate transactions have occurred.
I still think there is value in the process of recording and making sure everything balances. Is this just me being old? Do you youngsters, just look at your account on line and trust the bank to not make math errors? Do you look at your monthly statements?
