I'm a senior in business analytics and I'm currently in a time-series forecasting class. I have a forecasting project due at the end of the semester and I am having trouble finding some good data sets. I need about 15-20 years of monthly data with some form of seasonality.
For the data guys, do you have any good references as to where to look for some interesting data sets?
For the weather guys, I thought about looking at monthly rainfall in Knoxville, however I'm having trouble finding the info. I thought about calling mcghee-tyson and asking if they could provide the info since it should be public information. I thought some of you may have some experience with the national weather service and may be able to point me in the right direction to find a spreadsheet or csv of the data.
