Taking Mom home to where she was raised, Hinton, W.Va. Used to go there 3 or 4 times a year growing up. Absolutely beautiful town nestled in the mountains along two stunning rivers. Best memories of my childhood all took place in Hinton. Haven't been in almost 20 years. Sad way to return. I'm going to be an absolute mess.
They love their high school and college football there, and their mountains and their deer hunting. Reminds me very much of Tennessee. Good people. Same people, really, just a little farther north. Glad I can take Mom home. Hope I don't cry the whole time.
