Been playing with the same set of hand me downs since high school. I can probably budget around $1,000-1,500. Have no idea where to start.

Main thing to know about me: I’m not good. Like a 25-30 handicap. Tired of playing with old clubs and maybe this will incentivize me to play more.

Here are my questions:

- should I get fitted for clubs?
- where’s the best place in Knox to do this and sample clubs?
- I’ve always liked the feel of Callaway irons but I admittedly haven’t swung many others (I’ve been hitting Spaldings lol)
- Oversized vs Pro Sized?
- I’ve always liked the feel of Titleist woods/drivers. Should I get a set of one brand or does it matter?
- Given my aforementioned level, what clubs do I need/not need? 3-9 iron, PW, SW, 3W, 5W, Driver, and Putter, is what I was planning on.

Bonus: golf shoes. Never worn them. I like New Balance. Do they make golf shoes? Any good?

TIA
