OT: OBX or Anna Marie Island

My wife and I are looking for a get away in July. We are looking at OBX and Anna Marie Island. We have never been to either. Looking to explore, have a few nice dinners, and chill on the beach. Anna Marie would be a lot easier to get in and out of but the chance of red tide is a negative. Appreciate any advice. TIA
