I have three dogs, all are indoor, 2 Maltese and Labradoodle They go out about three times a day and one of the times, late afternoon, early evening, they stay out for 20-30 minutes to play, etc. So, yesterday, I had this lady come to my house and says can you keep my dogs from barking because every time she’s outside they bark(actually, it’s just the one Maltese that barks). I stated they’re in their yard and it’s privacy fenced and they’re never out while people are sleeping. Turns out, she doesn’t live behind me but the across the street from the one behind me. Anyway, I was pleasant at first, until I had enough and told her to take a hike. She said, you need to get bark collars for your dogs. My response, maybe you need the bark collar. She said she would call the cops. I said, go ahead and watch them laugh in your face. Keep in mind, the dogs aren’t roaming the neighborhood as they are always in their privacy fenced yard when they go out. Thoughts from the board?? PS: The neighbors on both side of me have dogs that also bark when they’re out and they are also in privacy fenced yards. It’s a subdivision with an HOA if that matters.
