I've come to the board for parenting advice before and y'all have helped, so I'll ask for some more help.
My 5 yo is playing tee ball for the first time. It was his choice as many of his school friends are playing. We worried he wasn't ready because he's very impatient and stubborn. We thought maybe soccer or flag football would be better because it's all running around and it would be more fun for him. And his current interests are animals, science experiments, and nature type stuff so he hasn't really bought in to sports in general except daddy loves Tennessee and golf so he says he does too. But he really wanted to do it so we signed him up.
We are 3 practices in and it's clear he doesn't want to do it. He won't participate and resists hard every time we try to encourage him to participate.
My question is do we still encourage him to play and bring him to every practice/game so we teach him to never quit? Or do we just realize he doesn't like this and pull him so we aren't forcing him to do something he doesn't like?
Thanks
